PERCUTANEOUS LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY

PERCUTANEOUS LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY

The Percutaneous Laparoscopic Surgery is a new, pioneering method, which is an evolution of the classic laparoscopic method and has been lately introduced in Hospitals Internationally and guarantees smaller surgical trauma, less post-operational pain, minimization of tissue traumatization, excellent aesthetic result and fast recovery & return to the patient’s everyday life.

It is a very demanding and technically challenging technique requiring extensive surgical experience in laparoscopic surgery, reduced –port techniques and a long learning curve.

The procedures that are performed globally using the Percutaneous Laparoscopic method include practically the entire surgical spectrum (cholecystectomy, appendicectomy, hernia repair, colectomy, splenectomy, bariatric surgery, gastrectomy, gastrostomy, gynecological procedures, etc.)

Recently, the first Percutaneous Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy was concluded in great success by Dr. Vasileios Drakopoulos at the G.H.A. “Evangelismos”.
